Family programs are important to us here at the YMCA. The family is essential to the YMCA because they reinforce what we teach; Honesty, Caring, Respect and Responsibiliy. These are the four core values that make us an important and essential to member to the community.
Special family times in the gym on Fridays at the YMCA. Pre-school equipment, bats, hockey sticks, kick balls and rings will be taken out each Friday and our Rockwall will be open for families to enjoy. Join our Friday night Staff person for games and activities. Look for special events on these nights that will be posted on our Family Bulletin Board in the back hallway.
Special family time in the gym & pool will be designated on Sunday afternoons this Winter.

The family that swims together has fun together! (Member parents with non-member children must purchase day passes for children; non-members must purchase day passes). Parents must accompany child 5 years and under in the water. Parents do not need to be in water for children 6 years and above; however, they must remain in the building. |
September 25th, 6:00 - 9:00pm Moms and Dads can drop off the kids for an exciting movie event and snack. We'll even have some gym time to wind down our evening. Children under 6 yrs must have a parent with them.
October 23rd, 6:00pm - 8:00pm Please join us for a guided spooky walk, costume contest, Halloween games and even candy. Don't miss what is sure to be an amazing event.
November 20th, 6:00-10:00pm. Moms and Dads, don't wait until the last minute to go Christmas shopping this year. Take some time to enjoy a nice dinner together without the children. Drop your school aged children (ages 7-13) off at the YMCA for a fun-filled evening of events. We'll have swimming, gym time, Rockwall climbing, and then wind down with a movie and some popcorn.
December 18th, 6:00-8:00pm Join us at the YMCA for a fun evening of holiday music and crafts while we decorate different types of holiday cookies
Our Wednesday night workshops are designed for parent and child to have quality time together. Each month a theme based activity will be offered following family swim time. Each workshop is one hour long. Space is limited. Please register at the front desk.
September 16th, 7:00-8:00pm. Apple Days Ages 3-6 with a parent. Come join us and make homemade applesauce, apple crafts and stories.
October 14th, 7:00-8:00pm. Five Little Pumpkins Ages 3-6 with a parent. This month we'll be carving pumpkins, making something sweet and reading spooky (but not too spooky) stories.
As the days get shorter and colder, come join us for Friday night workshops. Each workshop is one hour long. Space is limited, please register at the front desk.
November 13th, 7:00-8:00pm. Let's Talk Turkey Ages 3-6 with a parent. Join in the turkey fun. Gobble, gobble goes the turkey. We will be singing, eating and creating turkeys that you can share with the whole family.
December 11th. 7:00-8:00pm. The Spirit of Giving Ages 3-6 with a parent. How specialit is to recieve something homemade from a child. We will be creating a special gift for the special people in your child's life. Dress comfortable and get ready to wiggle. We will be learning the importance of giving to one another.
