Winter 2012 Pool Schedule

Early Bird:

M-F 6:15-8:45 a.m.
Sa 7:00-9:00 a.m.

Recreational Pool Time

This is open pool time for families to swim and play together and a place for children to swim and have fun. The pool is open to families. An adult member must accompany all children ages 6 years and under. Member parents with non-member children must purchase day passes for children.

Senior Swim

A more relaxed and leisurely pace of swimming. You do not have to continuously swim laps. Senior Swim is for those who cannot swim in the deep end, need help or are walking.

Adult Recreational Swim

This is open pool time for members aged 18 years and older with disabilities.

Open Lap Swimming Time

Lap swimming times are at various times of the day. Please check at the front desk for the current pool schedule. Lap swimmers must be 13 years of age or older. We will adopt the policy of circle swimming. Not to be used by Torpedoes Swim Team in place of their practice times.

Circle Swimming

We here at the Tri-Community YMCA are setting up circle swimming at all of our open lap swims. The main reason for this is to accommodate more members in the pool at one time. The safety of our members is our #1 priority and concern, and we feel that it is necessary to add this to our pool lap swimming. Circle swimming does not limit what strokes you can swim. Any stroke can be done in this situation. For the most part, there will be 4 lanes set up to circle swim.

Circle swimming is to go down one side and come back on the other. If only 2 people are in the lane, they may go side to side; however, if the pool gets busy, you will be asked to circle swim. There will be, on occasion, 2 leisure lanes left open. Anyone is welcome to swim in these lanes, but no more than 2-4 people at one time. Please check at the front desk for the current lap swim schedule with times and lanes available, as it does change.
